OSHA recommends one toilet per 10 personnel on site for 40 hour weeks. After 50+ years of experience, we here at Brendel’s recommend one toilet per 8 personnel on site for 40 hour work weeks.
The number of toilets needed for an event depends on the number of expected attendants and the duration of the event. Those two numbers can be used on the Brendel’s Portable Restroom Calculator to figure out how many portable restrooms we recommend for your event. Our office staff is also able to help with this calculation at 248-698-5000.
With the CDC guidelines, we recommend that residential tanks are pumped every 2 to 3 years.
If it has been three or more years since the last service, it is likely time to pump your septic tank. Early signs that tanks may be full are gurgling and slow draining. Signs that the tank is full is septage backing up into the lowest level drain in the home.
Septage and toilet paper can be flushed into a septic tank. Feminine products, flushable wipes, food, and trash should never be flushed into a septic system. Avoid using harsh chemicals in sinks or in toilets to prevent them from damaging the healthy bacteria septic tanks require to operate.
We understand that things occur on site that are out of your control. If units are blown over or occur minor damage from the weather or regular use, Brendel’s will repair, clean out, or replace onsite rentals as needed.
